How much does it cost?
It is currently free to register and become a standard member which entitles you full use of the site facilities.
The standard 12 month’s subscription is normally £17.99.

How do I pay?

Send the relevant amount to us by Personal cheque or postal order.

Can I get a refund if I resign? E.g. I subscribed for 1 year and have only used 1 month of it.
Wheeliemad Dates does not normally give refunds, and does not pro-rata subscription.

Why was my credit card denied?
There are many reasons for this, but you can readily resolve any problems by contacting the card issuer. The main reasons for this are usually.

your card has expired
Your billing address does not match the card statement.

GENERAL INFORMATION

What is Wheeliemad Dates?
Wheeliemad Dates is the Social/Dating area of the Wheeliemad.com website and exists to make it easy for individuals interested in motorcycling to meet other like minded individuals, using the power of the internet. In other words, it is an internet based community website.

How does it work?
In its simplest form, a subscriber enters his or her details into our database, with information of the type of Partner they are looking for. The subscriber then sits back as our powerful database system goes to work. When it finds that special person, it will automatically alert the subscriber via the Cupid function.

Are members on this site screened?
Not always. A valid email address is required in order to obtain the full benefit of this site. Anyone abusing the services will be banned. However, our service is otherwise confidential. There is no way that we can do extensive background checks on members, and we expect you to understand that we cannot take responsibility for any pain, damage or suffering arising from your use of this site. Please use your common sense and be careful about giving out personal information to people you meet on this site.

What is the difference between entering guest user and a member?
Wheeliemad Dates works on a membership system so that we are able to keep data files that contain your profile information etc. Guests may enter the site and browse the listings, but in order to post a profile and use the many features available on the site, you must become a member.

Is my private information and identity secure?
Yes it is very secure. There is no way that anyone else can come across your private information on our site. We even insist that you do not publicly disclose any private information, (such as name, address, phone number etc) about you on the site. Our concern for our members security is such that inclusion of such private information on the public area of our site is not permitted.

LOGIN ISSUES

If I forgot my password or Username, what do I do?
Simply follow the link to our home page and under members login section, click on “Forgot Password” for our automated password/Username lookup form. Your Username and Password is then emailed to your email account.

How do I change my password?

Log into the site using your Username and password.
Click on the 'My Profile” and scroll down to where your password is
Enter your new password in the appropriate box and click on the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the page.

How do I change my email address?

Log into the site using your Username and password.
Click on the 'My Profile” and scroll down to where your email address is.
Enter your new email address in the appropriate box and click on the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the page.

MEMBERSHIP ISSUES

How do I become a member, and what types of membership are available?
You become a member by filling in our simple registration information on our home page. Currently there is only one type of membership.
1. Standard Membership which is currently free and entitles you to full use of the site facilities.

How do I search for members?
There are two ways that you can search our database: by username or by preferences. If you are looking for a specific person and you remember their Username, enter it in the 'Username' field at the top of the Search Page. If you are not looking for a specific person, but rather someone who matches a description you give, then use the second form on the Search Page, which allows you to describe the kind of person you are looking for. You can search by almost any category of information that we keep track of, including sex, location, languages spoken, etc.

How do I send email to members?
Only Subscribed Members can initiate email contact with other members: To contact other members on Wheeliemad Dates, please follow these steps:

Log into the site using your username and password.
Click on the 'Search' link.
Enter the username of the member you wish to contact into the 'Username Search Form,' or select your search preferences and click on the “Submit” button to see your results.
Click on a “Send Message” icon below the member’s summary profile and proceed accordingly. Type the Subject, Write your message, and click on “Submit”, to send your message.

Guests (Non Paying): Guests are only allowed limited access to the site facilities.

How do I get email from other members?
Wheeliemad Dates uses a sophisticated emailing system. When you get mail, it goes into your mailbox on Wheeliemad Dates, and you are also automatically notified in your private email address. (The sender does not get to see your private email address. This double emailing is driven by our database.) This will present you with a link back to Wheeliemad Dates, where you can then log in as usual to read your mail.

How do I block a member from contacting me?

You have to be logged in with your membership detail.
Carry out a “Username” search of the member.
When the member’s detail appears, click on “View Profile”
When the next page appears, click on “block member” under the Custom menu to the right.

How do I send a member a kiss?

You need to be logged in with your membership detail.
Carry out a “Username” search of the member.
When the member’s detail appears, click on “View Profile”
When the next page appears, click on “Send a Kiss” under the Custom menu to the right.

YOUR PROFILE

Are profiles censored, and is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?
Not all profiles are censored. Wheeliemad Dates Membership team approves most members profiles, when they are originally created as well as when they are modified. We reserve the right to refuse any profile or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for this site. Also, we ask that you do not put any personal information etc, in your profile, including but not limited to:

Any direct contact information (i.e., email addresses, URLs, phone numbers, full names, addresses)
Any location or descriptive information that threatens a member’s anonymity
Abusive language of any kind (i.e., vulgarity, racism)
Discussion or descriptions of illegal acts or behaviour (i.e., drug use, violence)
Business or political advertisements or solicitations
Material that exploits or solicits personal information from individuals under the age of 18
Unauthorised use of copyrighted or trademarked material

Wheeliemad Dates does not accept content from: Individuals under the age of 18. Because this is a violation of our Terms of Use, repeat offences may result in the termination of your account without warning or refunds.

How long does it take to have my profile posted?
Your profile will normally be activated within 24 hours once you sign up and confirm your profile. If you have issues posting your profile, please notify us via Contact Us page.

Do you have any tips on how to create profiles?
The number of replies you get from other members will depend greatly on the quality of your profile. Here are some helpful tips that will help you: Upload a photograph: People like to see whom they're writing to and as a result, profiles with photographs get up to ten times more clicks as profiles that don't have one. You can either upload a photo from a digital camera or a scanner.

Create a catchy title for your profile: When members search listings on the site, the title of your profile is listed next to your name. As a general rule, profile titles like 'Hi!' does not catch people's attention, where as more personalised titles do. Think before you write: Feel free to write as much as you want in our essay portions of the sign-up pages. Tell other members about yourself, for instance: your likes and dislikes, things you enjoy doing, what line of work you're in, what your personality is like, even your hopes and dreams. The better your profile describes you, the more likely it is that others will read and respond to it. If you can't think of anything right away, you can always add more later. And don't forget to fill out the optional profile questions - these will also help other members get to know you even better.

How do I temporarily turn my listing off?
To 'turn off' your profile so that other members cannot see it, please follow these steps:

Log into Wheeliemad Dates with your User name and password.
Click on the 'Control Panel' or “My Profile” link under Member Menu
Click on “Suspend (my) Account” that appears in Red and follow the instruction.
If you later want to reverse it, go back into the same page and click on “Activate Account”.

How do I permanently remove my listing and delete my account?
To permanently delete your profile, please follow the instructions below. This is not recommended as you cannot recover your profile if you later change your mind. Moreover, you can safely suspend your account and no one will be able to view your profile.

Click on the 'Delete' link under Member Menu and follow the simple instruction that follows.

How do I update my profile?
To update your profile, please follow these steps:

Log into the site using your username and password.
Click on the 'My Profile' link under Member Menu
Make all necessary changes and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save”.

Why should I upload my photos?
Looking at photos is an important part of most people's selection process. A nice picture of yourself adds personality and presence to your profile and profiles with photos get browsed ten times more often than those without photos. Just upload your Photo, our system automatically crops all photos to fit into our standard size.

Photo Content
Please adhere to the following guidelines:
Obscene, or otherwise offensive photos should not be posted. Cartoon characters and photos of celebrities are copyrighted and should not be posted.
You must be in the photo and clearly visible. Images of minors (children) will ensure deactivation of your profile.

Photo Tips:
Choose a recent photo that reflects your current appearance. Use a photo of yourself alone for your primary image. Group photos should only be used for other non-primary images.

How do I post a photo ?
Firstly you have to login into the site with your username and password. Click on “Upload Photos”, under Member Menu and follow the instructions.

Our system automatically crops your photo if necessary before uploading it. Due to the volume of photos that we receive.
